چکیده

The autologous mixed lymphocyte reaction (auto-MLR) measures the ability of non-T cells to stimulate autologous T cells to proliferate in tissue culture. The auto-MLR was studied in 1 1 patients with autoimmune thrombocytopenic purpura (ATP). Seven patients had decreased auto-MLR. which averaged 4440 ± 3364 cpm (SEM) compared to 1 5.360 ± 6905 cpm for simultaneously studied controls. The average of the ratios of cpm incorporated by patients/cpm incorporated by control subjects was 0.20 ± 0.06 ( p < 0.01 ). Serum from all 7 patients with low auto-MLR decreased the auto-MIR of normal subjects by

Abnormal autologous mixed lymphocyte reaction in autoimmune thrombocytopenic purpura.

The autologous mixed lymphocyte reaction (auto-MLR) measures the ability of non-T cells to stimulate autologous T cells to proliferate in tissue culture. The cellular basis of the impaired autologous mixed lymphocyte reaction in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus.

The autologous mixed lymphocyte reaction is impaired in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus. This is because nonthymus-derived (T)-lymphocyte preparations from such patients do not stimulate autologous T-lymphocyte proliferation normally. This defect may explain the impaired generation of suppressor activity in systemic lupus erythematosus and thereby the occurrence of autoantibodies in ...

Lymphocyte function in autism and Rett syndrome.

Peripheral blood lymphocytes from 17 patients with autism were separated on a Ficoll-Hypaque density gradient. Patients had normal numbers of T and B cells and T cell subsets. Although CD4:CD8 ratios were normal for the whole group (2.09 +/- 0.97), 6 patients had elevated ratios (> 2.2) and 5 had decreased ratios (< 1.5). Mitogen-induced proliferation (concanavalin-A and phytohemagglutinin) was...

Lymphocyte transformation induced by autologous cells. IV. Human T- lymphocyte proliferation induced by autologous or allogeneic non-T lymphocytes

An autologous mixed lymphocyte reaction was demonstrated between T and non-T lymphocytes. Sheep erythrocyte rosetting was used to separate human lymphocytes into T and non-T lymphoid preparations. Non-T lymphocytes stimulated the proliferation of autologous T lymphocytes. The cell in this preparation that was most stimulatory had the characteristics of a K lymphocyte. The allogeneic mixed lymph...

Lymphocyte transformation induced by autologous cells. V. generation of immunologic memory and specificity during the autologous mixed lymphocyte reaction

Lymphocyte proliferation in vitro may follow antigen recognition and serve as a correlate of cell-mediated immunity. Lymphocyte proliferation can also be simulated by nonimmune mechanisms as, for example, following culture with plant lectin, lipopolysaccharides, or staphylococcal protein A (1). The autologous mixed lymphocyte reaction (MLR) refers to the proliferation of T lymphocytes cultured ...
